Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
Lectors: Beginning the weekend of September 7 and 8, there will be two lectors serving at each Mass. One lector will process to the sanctuary carrying the lectionary and read the first reading. The second lector will read the second reading and the Prayers of the Faithful. Lectors must be at least 14 years of age. If interested in serving as lectors, please contact the Parish Center at 651-224-9793 or Mary at for further information.
Faith Formation Teachers/Assistants Needed: The St. Matthew Faith Formation program for public school students in grades K to 10 will resume on September 25, and there are openings for assistants and teachers for the 2024-25 school year. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 PM. Volunteers should enjoy helping children learn more about their Catholic faith; they do not need to be experienced teachers. Curriculum, including ready-made lesson plans, supplies, and training, are provided. Most classes have 3 to 8 students. If a weekly commitment is too much, consider being a substitute teacher, a Spanish language interpreter on certain evenings, or helping with specific events such as registration and parent meetings. To find out more, call or text Janelle Rohr, 651-242-6004 or send an email to .
Thank You: To everyone who gathered each morning to clean the strawberries. Thank you to Kathy, Al, Tim and Mary who arrived at 5:00 AM each morning to unload the berries from the truck, washed the berries and put them into the colanders so that they were ready for the volunteers to clean. Thank you to Paul who came each day after the strawberry cleaning was completed, and swept and mopped the Social Hall floor. Berry cleaning was a fun way to socialize with fellow parishioners while also making money for our parish. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 20, 2025 to take part in the next Great St. Matthew Get-Together!
