Order form for new hymnal dedication bookplates
We are replacing our current Gather Comprehensive 2nd Edition hymnals (published in 2004) with new Gather IV hymnals. Not only does this hymnal include many of the “greatest hits” of the past 18 years, it also has a current Order of the Mass that reflects liturgical language changes instituted back in 2011. If you would like to honor people in your life by dedicating a new hymnal to them, you now have that opportunity with a special nameplate placed inside the front cover. The recommended donation is $20, which will be used to defray the cost of the hymnals. Many thanks to those who’ve … [Read more...] about Order form for new hymnal dedication bookplates

Worshiping together again: 5-24-2020 update
From John Riehle, Pastoral Administrator, 11 am, May 24, 2020, as announced at the end of our Sunday morning broadcast of Mass. We are living in an uncertain time. We have received much information in the past 48 hours; much of it conflicts with other information. I talked with Fr. Steve; the Liturgy Committee talked about this for an hour on Friday afternoon. We are all in consensus of the calendar we will observe at St. Matt’s. We will begin having “public Masses” here at Saint Matthew on July 18 and 19. Until that time we will continue to broadcast the Mass on Sunday mornings at … [Read more...] about Worshiping together again: 5-24-2020 update
Worshiping together again: 5-20-2020 update
The Archdiocese has sent pages of guidelines that should be followed as everyone is invited back to worship together. We will wait until an announcement by Governor Walz and then the Liturgy Committee will meet [on Zoom] to decide what we will do in order to allow folks back “into the Church.” It will certainly involve “social distancing;” it may involve the wearing of masks; there will probably be no congregational singing [singing and speaking can spread the virus very easily]; we will not use hymnals and there will be no water in the holy water fonts. We will suspend daily Masses until we … [Read more...] about Worshiping together again: 5-20-2020 update
