WE’RE ALMOST THERE! The thermometer shows that we’re 84% of the way to raising the full $109,000 cost of replacing the electric panel. That’s awesome! Many thanks to all who have contributed! School parking lot restrictions July 19 – August 2, 2023

A team from Apadana Technologies performed the critical work over two days (June 18-19, 2024). The Community of St. Matthew includes more than parishioners. Loaves and Fishes, St. Mary’s Clinic, Casa Guadalupana, People of Praise and Quantum STEAM Academy all benefit from St. Matthew’s presence on the West Side. And these programs serve many people, well beyond the parish membership. We need strong parish leadership to continue to be the Good Samaritan on St. Paul’s West Side. Our new church entrance ramp – progress report
The new ramp is completed and the entrance to the church looks so much nicer! We thank Pete Rivera who patched the hole in front of the south entrance door. The men from Krech Ironworks visited on Monday to take the specific measurements for the railings. Their backlog is about three weeks; we should expect installation in about that time. Thank you for your patience; and thanks to all those who helped “foot the bill”. Roof replacement: Thank you very much for those who have contributed to the “roof” fund. We have more than one year’s cost covered with donations of more than $6,900. [Spread out over the anticipated 25 year life of the roof, the cost is about $101 per weekend.] The contract was signed in April, we received the proxy from the Archdiocese [from the archbishop and the vicar general] to proceed; the down payment has been made to Fischer Flat Roofs. Update on church roof replacement, 3-24-2019
One vendor of the four was preferred. Members of the finance council checked on the references. They made contact with six companies who have had roofs installed/ replaced by our preferred company. Every reference was extremely positive in all aspects of the work and the follow- ups. And I received an unsolicited recommendation of the same vendor in a conversation with a parishioner who owns a number of buildings – we talked at the Fish Fry on Friday. I will work with Fr.
