After many months of planning, and the work of countless volunteers, last weekend we enjoyed our 2019 Fall Festival! Christmas Ornaments at Fall Festival

Several years ago St. Matthew Christmas ornaments were sold at the Fall Festival. The ornaments were sold in sets of two. A picture of the church was on the ornament and the buyer could then have the name of a family member, friend etc., living, or deceased, written on the ornaments. The buyer kept one ornament and the other would be placed on the Sanctuary Christmas trees during the Christmas season. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to write the names on these ornaments during the Festival on Sunday Sept 15. 8 MN Twins Tickets donated to Silent Auction

The Minnesota Twins have given the St. Matthew's silent auction a generous donation of 8 tickets. The seats are all together in an upper section but they are behind home plate. What you need to know is that the tickets are good for one game only: Saturday, September 29 at 6:10 PM. It will be the Twins against the Chicago White Sox. You have to do two things. First, be at the Fall Festival on Sunday, September 23rd to place your winning bid. Then you have to clear your calendar for the 29th to go to the games. Volunteer Spotlight: Karen Thompson

KAREN THOMPSON is a life-long member of St. Matthew Parish. For 40+ years she has been involved in numerous volunteer positions within our parish community. She has served on the St. Matthew Parish Council, holding various offices. She is a Parish Trustee where she works and reviews contracts with any renters of parish facilities. She serves on the Finance Council and is a liaison with Loaves and Fishes and West Side Summit School. Probably her most visible volunteer position has been that of chairing our Parish Festival. Silent Auction Action Needed Now for Fall Festival 2018

The Silent Auction Committee of the Fall Festival, which will take place on September 22-23, 2018, thinks it is never too soon to start planning for the next silent auction.
