FOOD SHELF: Thank you to all who contributed to the Food Shelf last month. In addition to a cash offering, 150 lbs of food was also delivered. Thank you to all who contribute to this monthly collection. As a parish, we monthly practice the Corporal Work of Mercy – To Feed the Hungry. Thank you for your generosity. The next Food Collection will take place the weekend of Sept 17 – 18.
STRAWBERRY CLEANING: Thank you to the 40+ volunteers who, since Aug. 24th, have daily gathered in the Social Hall to clean strawberries for a booth at the State Fair. They have worked hard and even kept their sense of humor when the berries arrived 3 hrs. late. Even though they cleaned anywhere from 700 – 1100 lbs of berries each day, the job was still completed in 2 – 3 hrs each day. In doing so they helped earn much needed income for the parish!
