Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
PARISH CLEAN-UP: Mark your calendars to take part in the parish Spring Clean-up. On Sat Apr. 29th, from 9am – 11am, we will gather to clean the inside of the church and chapel as well as the grounds around the buildings. Cleaning supplies will be provided. If you prefer to use your own cleaning products, feel free to do so.
PRAYER LINE: We are looking for volunteers who are willing to pray for the intentions of those who leave messages on our Prayer Line. When a prayer request is called in, the moderator of the Prayer Line will call “Prayer Volunteers” to inform them of the “Prayer Request” and those volunteers will take some time to pray for the person requesting prayers, as well as the intention mentioned in the request. If you feel you can devote some time during the day to pray for those in need, please contact Mary at or call the Parish Center
THANK YOU: To all who helped to make the Easter Triduum services special for all who attended. To Fr. Steve who through his homilies, always makes it possible for us to experience the services in new ways. To Alan who made it possible for those who couldn’t be physically present, to watch the services as they were live-streamed. To Jill and the Liturgy Comm. who help to plan the liturgies and have everything that is physically needed, in place. To all the Liturgical ministers who came forward and volunteered to serve in some way at the 6 different liturgies during the Triduum & Easter. To Jill Kilzer and our Parish Choir, who with their musical talent, added to the beauty of our services. To Donis, Katie & Jaire who take care of the flowers and see to it that our church & chapel are clean & beautiful. To Mary, Bob & family who change the banners and liturgical décor for all the Triduum & Easter services. To Phil & Angela who made sure that whatever was needed got ordered and delivered on time. To Anthony & Tim who led the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, as well as all Monday evenings during Lent! To all our parishioners who joined together to remember in prayer the passion, death and resurrection which allows us today to experience the joy of being Easter People!
THANK YOU: To Miles Dunn, who has volunteered to work with Richard Schletty in helping to keep the Parish Website up to date. It is refreshing to see the youth of the parish stepping forward to volunteer in areas where their skills are needed!
THANK YOU: To Alan & Becky! In March of 2020, due to Covid, most churches had to suspend services. At that time, Alan offered his knowledge and his talent, to help film our masses and have them ready to be viewed at 10:15am Sunday mornings. Each week, with Becky’s help, Alan would arrive at 3pm Sat., to set up his equipment and then film the 4:15pm mass! Little did anyone realize that it would be a 3 year commitment! Last week, Easter Sunday 2023, the last mass to be filmed by Alan was viewed on our website. As well as on You Tube. We are deeply grateful to Alan and to Becky, who for 3 years devoted their weekends to making sure the mass from St. Matthew church was on-line and ready to be viewed. Not just in our own parish, but throughout the country and in a few cases, the world!
