Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
Lectors: We now have two lectors reading at each Mass. One lector will read the Welcome and also the First Reading. The second lector, at the entrance procession, will process to the sanctuary carrying the Lectionary. The second lector will read the Second Reading and the Prayers of the Faithful. Lectors must be at least in 7th grade. If interested, contact the Parish Center at 651-224-9793 or Mary at for further information.
Pictures and Momentos: You are invited to bring pictures and mementos of family and friends who have died. These can be placed on the Ofrenda in the back of the church. They are only “on loan” and you may take them home at the end of November.
Thank You: To Cristina, Mary B., and Kathy who put together the Ofrenda in the SE corner of the church. In Spanish and Latin cultures, the Ofrenda is the traditional altar constructed to honor departed family members. It symbolizes the connection between the living and the dead. It is comforting to look at the Ofrenda and see pictures of family, friends and parishioners who at one time may have sat next to you at Mass and have now entered into eternal life. Seeing these pictures and mementos reminds us that death is not the end. It is only the beginning!
Thank You: Mary L. who prepared the two large decorated boxes in the back of the church. Your donations for Isaac’s Blessing Bags may be put into these boxes. We will collect donations until Sunday, December 1.
