Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
MONEY COUNTERS NEEDED: We are looking for two volunteers to join the collection money counters. You would count the weekend collections after the Sunday 10:15 AM Mass, twice each month. Training will be provided. If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, call the parish office at 651-224-9793.
LIBRARY MINISTRY: We are in the process of organizing a parish library. This library will be in the SE corner of the church. We have a large number of books that are being cataloged and prepared to go onto the shelves which are being donated. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to help people select books to read, check books in/out and keep the shelves neat. This ministry would take place before and after weekend Masses. If you enjoy books and would like to help others, please contact the parish office for more information.
TUTORS: Catholic Tutor Corps is looking for volunteers to help tutor students in reading and/or math. Tutors are needed at Community of Saints Regional Catholic School and Holy Trinity Catholic School in South Saint Paul. Years ago, St. Matthew School had a similar program organized by Sr. Audrey Lindenfelser, SSND. Many of our “senior” parishioners helped one day a week in the school. More information can be found in bulletin insert.
FEAST OF ST. MATTHEW: Thank you to all who helped to make our celebration of the Feast of St. Matthew a memorable weekend! Thank you to Fr. Adrian, who through his homily helped us to learn more about the patron saint of our parish and how St. Matthew can be a model for us all. Thank you to liturgists Cristina and Jill who helped plan the liturgy for the weekend. Thank you to lectors Zach and Becky who proclaimed the special readings for the weekend. Thank you to Eucharistic ministers: Karen, Josie, Marie, Paul, Kathy and Mooreen. Thank you to members of the Men’s Club who organized bingo on Saturday, football on the big screen TV on Sunday, and provided food and refreshments for both events. Thank you to the Rosary Society for their help and providing supplies for the events. Thank you to Karen and the Parish Council who provided the cookies after Mass. It truly was a memorable celebration of our patron saint!
We are a Volunteer Parish!
