Faith Formation Facts: There is NO CLASS for Faith Formation students in grades K to 10 on December 27.
Here are details about Faith Formation and sacrament preparation at St. Matthew this school year:
41 students who attend public schools are in the Faith Formation program (30 families):
- 17 of those public school students are preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation.
- 16 public school students are preparing for the sacrament of First Communion.
- Students not preparing for sacraments attend class weekly to learn more about the faith.
- The grade with the most students is 8th grade (9 students) and the next grade with many students is 4th grade (8 students).
21 Community of Saints students (18 families) are registered with St. Matthew for sacraments:
- 9 Catholic school students in 8th grade are preparing for Confirmation.
- 12 Catholic school students in grades 2 and above are preparing for First Communion.
- Community of Saints students attend class at St. Matthew a few times during the school year as part of their preparation for sacraments.
Thanks to the parents, catechists, helpers, St. Matthew staff, and St. Matthew organizations who support the program in many ways during the school year.
